Job Description

Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Provides information to determine status of current orders and to forecast needs for future orders. Compiles records of amount, type, and value of material or stock on hand. Monitors reorder points, and initiates action to replenish stock. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories. Notifies material coordinators of irregularities and when stock reaches designated reorder point. Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of inventories and computes inventory balances, prices and costs. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.

  • Order parts, items, supplies, and materials when inventory is low to meet production requirements.
  • Ensure materials unloaded from delivery trucks are stored safely and accurately in the warehouse.
  • Ensure organization by marking, sorting, and organizing inventory with accurate labels such as prices, quantity, or identifying codes.
  • May use handheld scanners or paper logs to document any change in inventory to ensure warehouse information is up to date.
  • Ensure that accurate quantity and kind of inventory remains stocked in warehouse bins, floors, or shelves.
  • Document inventory and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • May prepare shipping documents for materials from the stock room that are to be loaded onto delivery trucks.
  • Drives the Straight Truck for deliveries as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
  • Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job
  • May provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.
  • Must have basic knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office, MAC word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job in order to complete job duties successfully
  • Must have adequate oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustments to meet business needs
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and rarely lift in excess of 50 pounds
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues

Thepay range for this role at the noted location is $18.00 - $25.00 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
