Overview: Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations Equipment North America (EqNA), the Director of Process Optimization and Strategy is instrumental in boosting the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. By conducting comprehensive analyses of our business processes, systems, and workflows, this role identifies areas needing improvement and optimization. In collaboration with key stakeholders, objectives, scope, and deliverables for process optimization projects are defined, aligning with our business goals.

The role encompasses leadership responsibilities, including coaching and mentoring field leadership to manage operations proficiently. Additionally, it involves monitoring our operational health through KPIs and identifying new indicators to reduce costs, enhance margins, and elevate customer experience, thereby steering the organization toward operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy

  • Collaborate with Sales and Field Operations to achieve business goals.

  • Standardize HVAC Equipment KPIs, SOPs, and Work Instructions to drive a performance culture.

  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee key processes including Pre-Bid Review, Scheduling, Billings, Change Orders, and Backlog Reviews.

  • Support Operations Leadership in R&O processes and Business Ops Reviews.

  • Monitor and manage installation performance, addressing operational challenges efficiently.

Market Performance and Improvement

  • Identify low-performing areas, establish goals, and implement and monitor improvement plans.

  • Lead Equipment process improvement teams and explore IT improvement opportunities.

  • Develop strategies and training for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and business performance enhancement.

Support and Development

  • Provide complex equipment project support at the domain level.

  • Develop a Program Management organization for Sales and Operations support.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in process optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.

  • 8-10 years of experience in Installation Management, with a preference for the construction space.

  • Demonstrated HVAC industry knowledge and financial management skills.

  • Ability to travel 10% to 25% to Areas/Branches.

  • Proficient in communication, multitasking, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
